Director, School Based Youth Services Programs
Jeff joined School Based in April 2013. Born and raised in New Jersey, he completed most of his education and gained most of his professional experience in the Garden State. He earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Rutgers University in 1993 and a master’s in social work at the University of Pennsylvania in 1995. Jeff began his professional career in Seattle working in a supportive housing program for chronically mentally ill homeless adults. He returned to New Jersey, where he began a 12-year run with Family Intervention Services’ Kid Connection program, which delivers in-home therapeutic and case management services to youth and families involved with the Division of Child Protection and Permanency (formerly DYFS). Jeff wore many hats during his tenure with Kid Connection, including clinician, assistant director and clinical supervisor. Jeff remains excited about School Based, its talented and caring staff and the Warren Hills community. If you are interested in participating or learning more about School Based, Jeff would be happy to take your call at (908) 689-3050, extension 3618.
School Based is that program everyone wishes they had in their school. It features a staff of patient, caring adults promoting the resiliency and wellness of youth in the throes of adolescence (and even more acute challenges) and gives students a safe place to connect, to relax and to give and receive much appreciated support.
