Parent Support Group

 

Come talk and laugh with fellow parents of Warren Hills students as we continue to figure out how to most effectively support our children during the COVID crisis and the switch to remote learning. Share concerns, solutions, questions, and tools. Make it a part of your self-care plan during these challenging times.

 

We discussed how the remote learning experience places new demands on all students and can be especially challenging to students with certain learning disabilities. Tapping into students’ strengths and interests in order to maintain their motivation levels and efforts to promote more student-teacher interactions was also discussed.

We have not yet set an agenda for a forum because we are together in the process of deciding what we want this to be based on the interests of those who participate. Come help make this something useful to you and other parents.

We will be using the application Zoom for the upcoming teleconference. You will find a link below for joining in with both audio and video on your computer, tablet, or smartphone. Zoom will require you to install a small app on your device so if you do not already have it installed please arrive a little early to give yourself time to install the app when you are prompted to do so. Zoom requires a password to this teleconference – it can be found below highlighted in blue.
